River cruising

River cruising is the easiest way I know to see Europe. You unpack once, and the towns come to you, since the ship docks right in the center, often steps from the old quarter. Between stops you glide past castles, vineyards, and river villages from your own window. It is included, it is unhurried, and it suits my clients beautifully. These two rivers are where most people start, and for good reason. The river portion usually runs about a week. Add a few nights in a gateway city on either end and you are looking at ten days to two weeks, which is what I recommend so the cities are not a rush.
